To display the Heart Rate & Calories on your device please follow the instructions below. If you have a brand new Apple Watch and need help setting up for the first time, follow the instructions from Apple Support then download the Openfit app iOS device, then move on to the steps below.
A. For users on watchOS below 6.0 only (Series 1 and 2 Apple Watch), follow the steps below:
1. Locate the Watch app on iOS device
2. Sync Apple Watch with iOS device by following steps within this link
3. Visit Watch App Store on iOS device
4. Download Openfit
5. Proceed to Step C
B. For users on watchOS 6.0 and above (Series 3, 4, and 5 Apple Watch) follow the steps below:
1. Locate App Store on Apple Watch
2. Sync Apple Watch with iOS device by following steps within this link
3. Visit watch App Store on IOS device
4. Download Openfit
5. Proceed to Step C
C. Locate Openfit app on iOS device
1. Launch Openfit on iOS device
2. Login in with valid Openfit account
3. Go to settings with Openfit app
4. Health app permissions — make sure this is enabled
D. Locate Health app on iOS device
1. Launch Health app on iOS device
2. Select me page top right
3. Under privacy — select apps
4. Select Openfit
5. Ensure Heart Rate and Workouts are both enabled
E. To confirm the tracking is working appropriately, please follow the below steps:
1. Start workout from Openfit app on iOS device
2. You should receive a prompt on your watch, “Workout in progress on your iPhone, do you want to track this workout? "
3. Select Yes or No
4. Once done working out, select X to stop tracking on your Apple watch
5. Select Save or Discard
